MIAMI — A minor is suing a Carnival Cruise Line, alleging the defendant's negligence led to the plaintiff getting in his eye by a golf ball.

K.W., a minor, by and through his legal guardian J.C. both of Pennsylvania, filed a lawsuit Nov. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Cruise Line, alleging failure to properly secure the closed mini golf attraction aboard its vessel, the Carnival Breeze.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 26, 2015, K.W. sustained physical injuries when a golf ball hit him in his right eye aboard the Carnival Breeze. The plaintiff alleges Carnival Cruise Line failed to provide adequate supervision to the mini golf course in order to avoid passengers from using the attraction once it closes.

K.W. seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $75,000, medical expenses, all legal fees and interest, plus all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Spencer Aronfeld, Lovecia A. Holmes and Matthias M. Hayashi of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
