PENSACOLA, Florida — A former store employee is suing Atit Inc. and Manoj Patel, alleging violation of wage laws.
Timothy Duncan filed a complaint on Nov. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week in the defendants' liquor stores without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium as required by law.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just.
