U.S. government seeks repayment of more than $8,000 from Putnam County man

JACKSONVILLE — The U.S. government is suing William F. Barber III, an individual, citing alleged breach of contract and unpaid debt.

The U.S. government filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against William F. Barber III alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the U.S.government suffered damages due to unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds William F. Barber III responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $4,994.63 plus interest $3,147.83, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. in Coral Gables.
