Experis US Inc., International Business Machines Corp. alleged to owe man overtime

Law money 06

JACKSONVILLE – A Jacksonville man alleges that his former Duval County employers failed their duties to properly pay him for all hours worked.

Scott Harrison filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division against Experis US Inc. and International Business Machines Corp. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendants from March through December 2015 and was often required to perform time-sensitive projects and other tasks that compelled him to work in excess of 40 hours per week. The plaintiff holds Experis US Inc. and International Business Machines Corp. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to compensate him with overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half for every hour worked over 40.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor, damages plus interest, costs of suit, attorney's fees and further relief as the court may deem just. He is represented by John A. Carlisle of Liles Gavin PA in Jacksonville.
