TAMPA — A man is suing former employers Sun-Tec Installation Inc., David Larkin Sr. and Heng Phu, alleging violation of wage law.
Christopher Hilmus filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against the defendants alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to him.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between August 2014 and August 2015, he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Phyllis J. Towzey of Phyllis J. Towzey, P.A. in St. Petersburg.
