Carnival Cruise Lines accused of negligence in connection with injury

Cruise 02

MIAMI — A passenger is suing Carnival Cruise Lines, a cruise ship company, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Pamela Williams filed a complaint on Nov. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging that the cruise ship company failed to provide adequate protection to its passengers for when the vessel tilts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 30, 2015, she sustained physical injuries including a laceration on her right forehead. The plaintiff holds Carnival Cruise Lines responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate warning to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, interest, legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Aric N. Williams of Law Offices of Aric N. Williams in Miami.
