Suwanee Personnel accused of wrongful termination

Wrongful term 04

JACKSONVILLE — An individual is suing The Rose Group Inc. d/b/a Suwanee Medical Personnel, a former employer, citing alleged retaliation and violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Laura Rossetti filed a complaint on Oct. 28, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against The Rose Group Inc. d/b/a Suwanee Medical Personnel alleging that the former employer violated the rights of employees to family and medical leave.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in August 2008 through September, she held the position of Branch Manager but was later on terminated for accusations of improper personal use of the company computer and her own cellphone during work time, for which she had never been previously warned or admonished. The plaintiff holds The Rose Group Inc. d/b/a Suwanee Medical Personnel responsible because the defendant allegedly retaliated against plaintiff by terminating her employment for attempting to exercise her FMLA rights, and interfered with plaintiff's lawful exercise of her rights to FMLA.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, back wages, benefits, front pay, attorneys’ fees, and expert witness fees. She is represented by Amanda Ellen B. Clay of Spielberger Law Group in Tampa.
