FLORIDA — An employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Aspen Dental Management, Inc., an employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.
Lori Bageard filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Nov. 1, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Aspen Dental Management, Inc. alleging that the employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Aspen Dental Management, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief which this court deems just. She is represented by Gregg I. Shavitz and Susan H. Stern of Shavitz Law Group, P.A. in Boca Raton.
