EZ Pawn Florida accused of not paying proper overtime

ORLANDO — A former employee is suing EZ Pawn Florida Inc., an employer, citing violation of wage laws.

Cindy Marrero filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against EZ Pawn Florida Inc., alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate her.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds EZ Pawn Florida Inc. responsible for allegedly violating the law on overtime pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid back wages, overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief which this court deems just. She is represented by Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa, P.A. in Tampa.
