FLORIDA — A passenger is suing Celebrity Cruises, Inc., a cruise ship company, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Patrick Metro filed a complaint on Nov. 2, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Celebrity Cruises, Inc. alleging that the cruise ship company failed to remove the sticky substance on the floor that made the plaintiff lose his balance.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Jan. 14, he sustained physical injuries including a torn ligament. The plaintiff holds Celebrity Cruises, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to put warning signs regarding the hazard condition of the floor on their vessel.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, medical expenses, all legal fees and interest, plus any other relief this court deems just. He is represented by Spencer Aronfeld, Matthias M. Hayashi and Lovecia Holmes of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
