Woman alleges Prudential Insurance wrongfully terminated benefits

Insurance 06

MIAMI – A former Capital Bank employee alleges her disability benefits were wrongfully terminated.

Wanda S. Markuson filed a complaint on Nov. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against The Prudential Insurance Co. of America citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she is disabled and was initially paid disability benefits until the benefits were terminated on 2015. The plaintiff holds The Prudential Insurance Co. of America responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated plaintiff's disability benefits despite still being disabled according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks payment of disability benefits due to the plaintiff, reinstatement, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Alexander A. Palamara and Gregory Michael Dell of Attorneys Dell and Schaefer Chartered in Hollywood.
