Man says King Cable Construction violated overtime law

MIAMI — A former driver and laborer has filed a class-action lawsuit against King Cable Construction Corp. and Adrian J. King Jr., alleging violation of wage laws.

Armando Pavoni filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay him fair wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours a week without being paid overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds King Cable Construction Corp. and Adrian J. King Jr. responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and liquidated damages, overtime wages owing to the plaintiff, all legal fees and interest, and any other relief this court deems just.
