Orange County National Golf Club LLC accused of violating overtime law

ORLANDO — A man has filed a class-action lawsuit against Orange County National Golf Club LLC, an employer, alleging violation of wage laws.

Orlando Smith filed a complaint on Oct. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against Orange County National Golf Club LLC, alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all overtime hours at the regular rate of pay, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief this court deems just. He is represented by Marc R. Edelman of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Tampa.
