MIAMI -- A senior vice president in a Miami-based law firm has been named one of the newly appointed members of the Fiduciary Trust International of the South board of directors.

Thad Adams, the senior vice president in charge of the leasing and investment sales at the Coral Gables-based Allen Morris Co., was one of three new members named to the board of directors for Fiduciary Trust International of the South. Joining Adams as new appointees are Brett Abess and Susan Strickroot Adams. The wealth management firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Franklin Templeton Investments.

The experiences and knowledge of the three new members of the board were highlighted in a press release announcing their entry to the Fiduciary Trust International of the South. Gail Cohen, the chair and general trust counsel at the firm, also stressed the commitment of the appointees to Florida and its people. She further noted that the three would be a remarkable addition to the wealth management firm as they strive to contribute to improving the services offered to clients.

"All three of our newly elected board members are long established Floridians with significant ties to the community, and their appointments reflect our continued commitment to South Florida," Cohen said in a press release via Market Wired. "As one of the largest Florida trust companies, we continue to emphasize our focus on client service and are fortunate to have Brett, Thad and Susan join our board. Their experience and proven business leadership will enable us to make a greater impact on the community."
