Law money 10

MIAMI — Five former telemarketers are suing employers Christian McKeon, Joseph Dauch, Athanasios Ziros, Priti Dubal, Pop's Pharmacy, CGX Marketing and SDS Marketing, alleging violation of pay laws.

Denis Martin Shumard, Deborah Sorenson, Timothy Gresge, Francine Mitzman and John Losacco filed a complaint on Oct. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair compensation to their employees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were deprived of fair compensation in various ways, such as not receiving full base pay, not being paid commissions, and having paid time deducted for breaks whether or not the breaks occurred. They hold the defendants responsible for the alleged violations of wage laws.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek various monetary damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by Jared Dokovna of Dokovna & Walsh, P.A. in Palm Beach Gardens.
