Collins & 74th Street Inc. accused of violating overtime laws

MIAMI — A former merchandiser has filed a class-action lawsuit against Collins & 74th Street Inc. and Mohammed S. Hossain, claiming his employer violated wage laws.

Luis Reyes filed a complaint on Oct. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to compensate him fairly.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for the alleged violation of overtime wage laws.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double damages, all overtime wages still owing, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by J.H. Zidell of J.H. Zidell, P.A. in Miami Beach.
