Law money 01

MIAMI – Former technicians for a Rhode Island company doing business in Florida allege they were not paid overtime wages.

Derek Isola and Isai Tellez filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on Oct. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Alliance Security Inc., Jasjit Gotra, Brian Fabiano and Jake Murray alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds Alliance Security Inc., Gotra, Fabiano and Murray responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiffs for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Camar R. Jones of Shavitz Law Group P.A. in Boca Raton.
