MIAMI – Berger Singerman, which touts itself as Florida’s business law firm, has announced that it has expanded its land use, regulatory and commercial law practices with the addition of partner Jeff Bartel.
With around three decades of experience in business, law and government issues, Bartel is considered a highly respected business, legal, and community leader in South Florida. Regarded for his civic and philanthropic leadership, his presence will add greatly to the team at Berger Singerman, which currently has more than 80 attorneys working out of offices in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tallahassee.
Upon the announcement of his partnership with Berger Singerman, Bartel said in a statement that he was excited to be joining the company that has an outstanding team with a vast amount of legal talent.

With a large client base including businesses in Florida and California, Bartel joins Berger Singerman as a partner to assist clients on land use and zoning, real estate development and finance, governmental and regulatory affairs, corporate governance and compliance, energy and utility, and private equity and venture capital matters.
According to Singerman, Bartel fits well into Berger Singerman’s collaborative, value-driven culture.

Bartel earned his bachelor of arts debree, cum laude in government, from Harvard University, and his juris doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida.
In addition, he is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s advanced management program for senior executives, and the Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation.
Bartel is the latest member among a number of high-profile and talented additions to Berger Singerman’s government and regulatory team.
