Shopper alleges injuries after he slipped in laundry detergent in Dollar Tree

BRADENTON – A shopper alleges he slipped in spilled laundry detergent and was injured.

Ralph Malone filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the 12th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Manatee County against Dollar Tree Stores Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 4, he sustained physical injuries while shopping at the defendant's Palmetto location. The plaintiff holds Dollar Tree Stores Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to clean spilled laundry detergent on the floor, which caused him to fall and be injured.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $15,000. He is represented by Robert Santa Lucia of Morgan & Morgan in Sarasota.
