OCALA – A Citrus County man alleges a creditor has called him more than 500 times.
Michael Thomson filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Ocala Division against Harley Davidson Credit Corp. alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since Jan. 1, the defendant called him repeatedly in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds Harley Davidson Credit Corporation responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact plaintiff and continued to call after he revoked his consent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, punitive damages, actual damages, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Amy Ferrera of Morgan & Morgan, Tampa, PA in Tampa.
