MIAMI – A Boynton Beach company alleges a Vermont business infringed its patented technology with its online order confirmation system.
Electronic Communication Technologies LLC filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Orvis Co. Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Electronic Communication Technologies LLC suffered damages from having its '261, '239 and '414 patents infringed. The plaintiff holds Orvis Co. Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly infringed plaintiff's patents through its use of automated messaging features of its order confirmation and shipping confirmation online systems.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enhancement of damages, enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Peter A. Koziol, Eric N. Assouline and Greg M. Popowitz of Assouline & Berlowe PA in Boca Raton.
