MIAMI — A former employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against his previous employer for alleged retaliation, wrongful termination and unpaid wages.
Byron J. Espinoza filed a complaint on behalf of himself and other similarly situated individuals Sept. 30 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division, against Dynamic Design and Services Inc. and Ivan Figueroa, alleging that they failed to provide fair compensation to the plaintiff for his work.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation and was terminated for complaining. The plaintiff holds Dynamic Design and Services Inc. and Ivan Figueroa responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours per week.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Zandro E. Palma of Zandro E. Palma, P.A. in Miami.
