Law money 05

MIAMI – Two former sales employees allege they owed wages for hours that they worked and were not compensated for by a North Miami employer.

Marcus Evans and Roderick Simmons filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against the Asset Monitoring Solutions Inc. and Stuart J. Budd alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were employed by the defendants from June to September. Evans alleges he was not paid for 80 hours of work and Simmons alleges he is owed for 48 hours of work. The plaintiffs hold Asset Monitoring Solutions Inc. and Budd responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to pay plaintiff the Florida minimum wage for their work despite their request to be compensated fairly.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek payment of all hours worked at the appropriate wage rate, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
