MIAMI – A Royal Caribbean passenger alleges he injured his ankle on an attraction on the Oasis of the Seas.
Marc Thibaut filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging strict product liability.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 25, 2015, he fractured his ankle while on the ship's FlowRider attraction. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly installed an attraction that is unreasonably dangerous for passengers to use and failing to safely instruct and supervise passengers of the FlowRider's use.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Carol L. Finklehoffe and Jason R. Margulies of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman PA in Miami.
