MIAMI – A Palm Beach County business is accused of falsely advertising its product to consumers as having proper Food & Drug Administration clearance.
Intra-Lock International Inc. filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Boca Dental Supply LLC, alleging unfair competition and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it manufactures a medical device for the drawing and centrifuging of a dental patient's blood and that the defendant has manufactured a competing product. The plaintiff holds Boca Dental Supply LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly issued false and misleading claims regarding its product and falsely stated it was FDA registered.
The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant from further marketing its product and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Alan J. Perlman and Vijay G. Brijbasi of Dickinson Wright PLLC in Fort Lauderdale.
