U.S. seeks repayment of college loan

MIAMI — The U.S. government has filed suit against an individual for unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint Sept. 29 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Leandro Bohdan, also known as Leandro Rondon, alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages due to unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Leandro Bohdan, also known as Leandro Rondon, responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of his debt to the plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks the principal amount of $6,042.81, interest of $7,637.21, attorney's fees of $500, and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez PA in Coral Gables.
