MIAMI – A mechanic alleges he was not paid overtime wages by his South Florida employer.
Darren Dombroski filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Harkay Enterprises Inc. and Pompn Inc., both doing business as Midas Tire and Auto Service, and Gregg Noordhoek citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Harkay Enterprises Inc. and Pompn Inc., both doing business as Midas Tire and Auto Service, and Gregg Noordhoek responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half for hours worked that exceeded 40 per week.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PAin Fort Lauderdale.
