OCALA — A former employee has filed suit against a business for alleged unpaid wages.

Aubrey Walker filed a complaint Sept. 20 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Ocala Division, against Lazer Spot Inc., alleging that the employer failed to provide fair compensation to the plaintiff for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between 2014 and 2016, she worked for more than 40 hours each week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Lazer Spot Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for hours worked that exceeded 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by James M. Loren of Goldberg & Loren P.A. in Plantation.
