MIAMI – A car mover alleges he was underpaid by his South Florida employer.
Danny Mackie filed a complaint on Sept. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against American Import Car Sales Inc., doing business as Jumbo Auto and Truck Plaza; Joe Levy; and Jonathan Levy citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds American Import Car Sales Inc., Joe Levy and Jonathan Levy responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to pay him his legally entitled wages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
