TAMPA – A Lake County consumer alleges a debt collector has been harassing him with phone calls.
Eugene Hill filed a complaint on Sept. 6 in the Tampa Division for the Middle District of Florida against TD Auto Finance LLC alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Protection Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between August 2012 and March, the defendant has contacted him in an attempt to collect an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds TD Auto Finance LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system in contacting plaintiff and continued to contact him after he revoked his consent.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, punitive damages, actual damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Jared M. Lee of Morgan & Morgan, Tampa PA in Orlando.
