Super Nails of Palm Coast allegedly didn't pay nail technician overtime

JACKSONVILLE — A nail technician claims her former employer allegedly did not pay her overtime wages.

Monica Rohena-Morales filed a complaint on Aug. 25 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division, against Super Nails of Palm Coast LLC and Hung H. Nguyen, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Super Nails of Palm Coast LLC, and Hung H. Nguyen responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay her any overtime premium.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by N. Ryan Labar and Scott C. Adams of Labar & Adams P.A. in Orlando.
