Security guard alleges Jampol Protective Services did not pay proper wages

FORT LAUDERDALE – A security guard alleges he was not paid a minimum wage.

Keith Samuels filed a complaint on July 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Jampol Protective Services Inc. and Glenford W. Taylor alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked without being paid the regular rate of pay according to the FLSA. The plaintiff holds Jampol Protective Services Inc. and Glenford W. Taylor responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff the proper minimum compensation and any overtime compensation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages for unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just.
