Law money 02

MIAMI — A former employee has filed suit against a Florida foundation alleging unpaid wages.

Natascha Reed filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County Inc. alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate her for the overtime hours she worked.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime wages or the required minimum wage. The plaintiff holds the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeds 40.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law P.A. in Fort Lauderdale.
