ORLANDO – An Orange County man alleges he was injured while walking on a West Landstreet Road property.

Ronnie Barton filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court for Orange County against Hurricane Associates LLC and National Freight Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 31 while he was walking through the parking area of the defendants' property, his foot caught in a hole hidden by the grass and caused him to fall. He alleges he suffered a significant injury to his leg and caused him pain, suffering and mental anguish, incurred the expense of medical treatment, became physically disabled and impaired and has lost the ability to work. The plaintiff holds Hurricane Associates LLC and National Freight Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to maintain the property, failed to adequately inspect the property and failed to correct the hazardous condition of the property.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants and for damages. He is represented by Michael M. Bell and Anna E. Engelman of Bell & Roper PA in Orlando and Donald Van Dingenen of Van Dingenen PA in Winter Park.
