MIAMI – A woman alleges she was injured by a bench she was asked to sit on while waiting for wheelchair to board a cruise.
Nilda Grisoni filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD, Broward County and Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 2, 2015, she suffered permanent physical injuries, including displaced fractures in her left wrist/hand, when she fell from the bench that unexpectedly moved. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD Broward County and Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to timely provide a wheelchair to plaintiff as well as properly inspecting the condition of the bench where their employee asked plaintiff to sit and wait for an available wheelchair.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages against the defendant. She is represented by Tonya J. Meister of Meister Law LLC in Miami.
