MIAMI – A passenger on the Norwegian Sky alleges he was burned by chemicals while on a cruise.
Stephen Emmet O'Brien filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against NCL (Bahamas) LTD alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 7, 2015, he experienced pain from having severe chemical burns on his feet. The plaintiff holds NCL (Bahamas) LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly used harmful chemicals to sanitize the pool deck and Jacuzzi that were further heated due to being exposed to the sun and failed to provide adequate warning to plaintiff regarding the hazardous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by John Billera of Billera Law in Boca Raton.
