MIAMI – A passenger on the Carnival Breeze alleges that she slipped and sustained injuries on wet tile.
Constance Smith filed a complaint on July 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 5, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she slipped and fell on wet tiles while on the Carnival Breeze. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition or put up a warning sign regarding the condition of the floor.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for the full value of her losses plus all legal fees. She is represented by Jack Paris of The Cochran Firm South Florida in Miami Springs.
