MIAMI – A Fort Lauderdale sandwich restaurant is facing accusations from employees that they were not paid overtime wages.

Ann Marie Randall and Mary Francis Randall filed a complaint on July 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Foot Long Inc., doing business as Big Foot; Kadri Gurgan; and Roxanne Gurgan alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime wages by the defendants. The plaintiffs holds Foot Long Inc., Kadri Gurgan and Roxanne Gurgan responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay any overtime compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiffs for all hours they worked in excess of 40 hours per workweek.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
