MIAMI – A passenger on the Carnival ship Miracle claims she was injured when she was caused to trip and fall on the ship.
Nita Hill-Escobedo filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 11, 2015, she sustained physical injuries when she tripped and fell due to a raised piece of metal on the floor of the vessel Miracle. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the floor of the deck or provide adequate warning to passengers regarding the condition of the walkway.
The plaintiff seeks damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Jennifer C. Thompson of Waks & Barnett PA in Miami.
