FORT PIERCE – A Jupiter company is facing allegations of copyright infringement from a major software company.

Microsoft Corp. filed a complaint on July 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Pierce Division against Your Software Shop LLC, doing business as Yoursoftwareshop.com, and Bridget Doyle alleging that they distributed unauthorized copies of plaintiff's software.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of counterfeit copies of its software being sold to consumers by the defendants without its consent. The plaintiff holds Your Software Shop LLC and Bridget Doyle responsible because the defendants allegedly sold unauthorized copies of several of plaintiff's software via download from the internet.

The plaintiff seeks to impound all infringing copies of plaintiff's software, disable the appropriate domain owned by the defendant, pay plaintiff all damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Aaron S. Weiss of Carlton Fields Jorden Burt PA in Miami.
