MIAMI – A Kentucky man alleges he suffered an injury to his eye while at a bar aboard the Carnival Fascination cruise ship.
Kolen Johnson filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 12, 2015, he sustained physical injuries when a broken piece of glass went into his eye. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly failed to exercise caution when handling glassware.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Sara Schafer and Jason Turchin of Law Offices of Jason Turchin in Weston.
