WEST PALM BEACH – A Boynton Beach company has filed suit against a Texas business alleging its tracking and notification patents were infringed.
Shipping and Transit LLC filed a complaint on June 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Palm Beach Division against Auctane LLC, doing business as Shipstation, alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages as a result of its '207, '359, and '299 patents being infringed by the defendant. The plaintiff holds Auctane LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly used tracking and notification technologies for shipping that infringes plaintiff's patents.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, enhancement of damages, to enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jerold I. Schneider, Joel B. Rothman and Diana F. Mederos of Schneider Rothman Intellectual Property Law Group in Boca Raton.
