Passenger files suit against Carnival claiming she was injured in fall on cruise

Cruise 09

MIAMI – A Louisiana passenger on the Carnival Magic alleges she fell and was injured while on the cruise ship.

Peggy O'Neal filed a complaint on June 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 8, 2015, she sustained injuries when she slipped and fell due to a water spill on the floor. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to ensure the deck's surface was slip-resistant, assign crew members to make sure the area was safe and other counts.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for more than $75,000 and all legal fees. She is represented by David W. Singer of David W. Singer & Associates PA in Hollywood.
