Suit filed against the Final Notice Agency Inc. and BBVA Compass Bancshares

MIAMI – A Tamarac couple is filing a lawsuit after their car was allegedly repossessed.

Segundo Bravo and Cecilia Bravo filed a complaint on June 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against The Final Notice Agency Inc. and BBVA Compass Bancshares Inc. alleging violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 9 their vehicle was repossessed by Final Notice at the request of Compass. They allege they sustained monetary damages as a result of having to pay in order to retrieve their personal belongings inside the repossessed vehicle. The plaintiffs holds The Final Notice Agency Inc. and BBVA Compass Bancshares Inc. responsible because their driveway was damaged during the repossession, the defendants did not notify law enforcement that the vehicle was to be removed and other counts.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek all damages and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Michael L. Buckner of Michael L. Buckner Law Firm PA in Sunrise.
