MIAMI – A warehouse associate alleges she was not paid overtime wages by a sunglasses company.
Cha'Quelle Acola Hamilton filed a complaint on June 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Speert.com Inc. and Gregg Friedman alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per workweek but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Speert.com Inc. and Friedman responsible because the defendants allegedly did not pay plaintiff any overtime compensation.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
