Unibank alleges breach of contract

MIAMI – A Haitian bank is suing a Broward County woman over breach of contract claims.

Unibank S.A. filed a complaint on May 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Gayla Sue Levin alleging breach of written contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Unibank S.A. sustained monetary damages of more than $2.7 million as a result of the defendant's actions. The plaintiff holds Levin responsible because the defendant allegedly breached her contract with the plaintiff for the purchase of an interest in the holding company for the Galleria Corporate Center in Fort Lauderdale.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Paul D. Turner, Joshua B. Spector and Brian Chaiken of Perlman, Bajandas, Yevoli & Albright PL in Fort Lauderdale.
