ORLANDO – A Jacksonville man alleges that a debt collector did not correct his credit report.
Robert Johnson-Sanders filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Key Financial Services LLC alleging that the debt collector violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he disputed the defendant's credit report on his alleged debt with a dispute letter dated June 10, 2015. He claims he examined his credit report again on July 28, 2015, and found out that defendant had not corrected the credit account nor marked it as disputed by costumer. He alleges he has been damaged by the defendant's action. The plaintiff holds Key Financial Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly reported his purported debt to a credit reporting agency and failed to correct its misleading report.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, attorney's fees and costs and for such other relief that the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Michael Jay Ringelheim of RC Law Group PLLC in Hackensack, New Jersey.
