MIAMI – An Adventure of the Seas passenger is suing the cruise line alleging she was injured on a step.
Rebecca Coleman filed a complaint on May 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami/Dade Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 17, 2015, while she was walking on a pathway leading to the club entrance on the third level of the vessel, she tripped and fell on an unmarked, non-illuminated step, causing her injuries to her body and extremities, resulting in great physical pain and mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of income. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly supervise its staff to maintain the cruising vessel in a reasonably safe condition and failed to correct and to warn passengers of the dangerous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant. She is represented by Peter R. Hunt of LaBovick Law Group in Palm Beach Gardens.
