Law money 06

MIAMI – A woman alleges that she was not properly compensated during her employment.

Henrieta Ondrejkova filed a complaint on May 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Barok LLC, Made in Stars Inc., Cedric Cohen and Michele Ghouzi alleging that they allegedly violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she did not receive overtime premiums for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week during her employment with the defendants from November 2013 to March. The plaintiff holds Barok LLC, Made in Stars Inc., Cohen and Ghouzi responsible because the defendants allegedly refused to properly compensate her at a rate of one-and-one-half of her regular rate for each hour worked over 40 hours per workweek.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for all damages, including liquidated damages, prejudgment interest, attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses, in addition to all other relief that the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Christopher J. Whitelock of Whitelock & Associates PA in Fort Lauderdale.
