Government alleges Miami-Dade County resident owes for unpaid loan

MIAMI – A government agency is suing a Pinecrest individual alleging failure to pay a loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Rocco DiMartino alleging that the borrower failed to comply with the a promissory note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that U.S. Department of Education records state the defendant owes total amount of $39,594.69. The plaintiff holds DiMartino responsible because the defendant allegedly has neglected and refused to pay his indebtedness.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for the sums of money owed, prejudgment and post-judgment interest, attorneys' fees, costs and such other relief which the court may deem proper. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez PA in Coral Gables.
